AI software for energy operations · Edmonton, Alberta

We build the software your operation doesn't have.
Built around your work, not around a product.

Software built to make a job your people already do easier.

From a tool that does one repetitive job to an assistant that runs on your own machines. Built around how your operation actually works, and run on our servers in Alberta or on your own — not on someone else’s platform.

Free first conversation. A written quote within 5 business days, with a fixed price for the scope we agree.

What sets us apart

  • AI we run ourselves
  • Built for energy operations first
  • Hardware we own in Alberta
  • No third-party AI provider

Example — not a live terminal.

How it works

  1. Talk. A free first conversation, on site or remote. Tell us what is slowing your operation down.

  2. Written quote. Within 5 business days: the scope, a fixed price and a timeline. No surprises.

  3. Build. You get a working version early and test it on your real work while we refine it.

  4. Launch and support. It runs on our servers in Alberta, on your servers, or on your own machines. If you want, we keep it running and improve it after launch.

The problem

The software for your job doesn't exist.

Every operation has work a computer could do that nobody sells a tool for — too specific to be a product, too repetitive to keep doing by hand. So you live with it, or you buy a platform that nearly does it and bend your work around the part it doesn't.

What we build

Three kinds of work we take on.

Different problems, same approach: one job, done properly, and no third-party AI provider in the middle.

Work that should be automatic

Someone on your team does the same thing every week because no tool does it. We build the tool: one job, fitted to how your crews already work.

  • One job, fitted to how your crews already work
  • Built for your operation, not for a market
  • Runs on our servers in Alberta, on your servers, or on your own machines

Information nobody can find

We build search and answering over your own material, so a question in plain language comes back with the source behind it.

Our own product for this is QcHelper, our desktop AI assistant for construction and industrial quality control.

  • Specs, procedures, drawings, reports
  • Built to cite the source document it used
  • Built to say when it cannot find something

AI that lives on your PC

Some work belongs on the machine it happens on. Vincoder runs the AI model on your own PC and does the job rather than describing it. VincBuddy watches your files and mail with a model running on your computer, and interrupts you only when something needs you.

  • Vincoder: the AI model on your own PC
  • VincBuddy: watches files and mail on your computer
  • Your prompts and files are not sent to us

Why Vincdata

Three reasons this works differently

We name everyone who touches your data

We run our AI in-house, on hardware we own in Alberta — what you send is analysed there, and not by a third-party AI provider. It reaches those servers through Vercel, who run this site and its server code in Montréal; requests to our AI and download services also pass through Cloudflare. Both decrypt that traffic at their edge to pass it on, neither uses it for its own purposes, and Cloudflare does not store your conversations. Accounts run on Supabase in Montréal, billing on Paddle, email through Resend, and Upstash briefly receives your IP address to count requests and block automated abuse. That is the whole list, and it is written down in our privacy policy.

This list covers our website and the services behind it; what each app connects to is listed in its privacy policy. For a custom build, where your data goes is agreed in the quote, and it can stay entirely on your own network.

We are not reselling someone else’s platform

What we build is shaped by how your operation works, not by what a vendor’s product happens to allow. There is no vendor roadmap to wait for.

One operation at a time, starting with energy

We go deep rather than wide. You get one thing that fits the way your work actually runs — not a product that half-fits everyone and has to be configured into shape.

Proof

What we have shipped

The fastest way to judge a software team is to look at what they have shipped. Here is ours.

  • QcHelper (opens in a new tab)

Our desktop AI assistant for construction and industrial quality control, built to cite the source document it used. Invite-only private beta.

  • Vincoder

A Windows assistant that runs its AI model on your own PC — no cloud inference. It picks a model for your machine: the full model on a big graphics card, a lighter one on smaller cards, and a smaller one on the processor alone. In early access.

  • Our own servers, in Alberta

We run our own inference servers rather than renting third-party APIs. When it runs on our servers, your work is processed on our hardware in Alberta, not by a third-party AI provider.

  • Registered on CanadaBuys

Vincdata Technologies Inc. is registered as a supplier on CanadaBuys, the Government of Canada's supplier registration system. Registration is open to any business and does not imply any contract with or endorsement by the Government of Canada.

Tell us what is slowing your operation down.

A short conversation costs nothing and usually tells us both whether there is something worth building. If there is, we will say so. If there isn't, we will say that too.
